Iran 2026: What the Lunar New Year Chart Says for its people

I have been caught up with my AI Astrology project (www.projyotish.com) and thus been away from blogging. But I realised that the new lunar year is coming, and so the things might change in Iran.
I was comparing the 2025 and 2026 Iranian Lunar New Year charts and the shift is stark. Lunar New Year charts are a reliable tool to study events for countries whose "birth chart" is otherwise not reliably available.
The war signature was already written in the 2025 chart.
Shani conjunct the 6th and 7th lords in the 2nd. The conflict began when Shani–Shukra Antara started on 28th March 2026. Note the cluster of planets that sits in the 9th - overwhelming energy of 10th house (rulers) destruction. Shani rules the 7th (war) from the 8th (sudden events). Venus rules both Maarakas (death bringers) of the 10th (11th and 4th, 2nd and 7th respectively to the 10th). An Antardasha of war + Maaraka in the 9th resulted in a war for regime change. This was bound to happen.
The 2026 chart (from 19 March) shifts the battlefield.
This looks grim for the people: 9 out of 9 planets are locked in Kaal Sarpa or Maaraka combinations. This is not a chart that favors the health of the country (its people).
The lagna lord in the 2nd moves focus toward allies, commerce, and wealth (Oil, Gas). But it is conjunct 7th lord Surya (war + maaraka). The 2nd and 11th lord Brihaspati in the 5th form a classical Dhana yoga - allies will push for government change to unlock oil outflow. Keep in mind that Brihaspati is a maaraka lord too.
Note: Lagna lord Shani means a few things. Keywords are - movement, suffering, starvation, death, poverty, penance for karma.
But the destruction isn't over. Shani = 12th lord (losses in war). Budha = 8th lord (death, hidden dangers). Both are active till June. Followed by Ketu in July.
The Kaal Sarpa Yoga runs through the year, with Mangal and 8th lord Budha at the serpent's head - expect sudden, unexpected aggression. Possibly toward Iran's own citizens.

One more signal: Mangal is the media lord and owns both arudhas (public image) - and it hides things. It is conjunct Rahu and Budha. Expect information blackout to continue. Expect confusion over who is actually in power in Iran to continue, don't believe what you hear.
Some relief for Iranians arrives in the second week of May. Full stabilization? Not before end of January 2027.
One good sign: Shukra (is exalted with lagnesha). Democracy can make strides this year, even with all the unfortunate circumstances.
I do not find it pleasant to speculate over scenarios about loss of lives and war. But this impacts global economy, and thus welfare. As for Iranian people, with Shani as lagna lord, conjunct an exalted Annarpurna Yoga in second in an even rashi, lets pray to Maa Annapurna to protect and nurture the people of Iran through these difficult times.
